Floating Foundations: Arm Balance Workshop

  • The building blocks for successful arm balances, focusing on the principles of strength, stability, and breath control. Participants will explore the core fundamentals, such as activating bandhas (energy locks), engaging the core, and distributing weight effectively through the hands. We’ll also touch on the mental aspects of arm balances, such as cultivating focus, trust, and patience in the process.

  • Proper alignment is key to mastering arm balances safely and effectively. We’ll break down how to set up each pose with precision, from hand placement to shoulder engagement and hip positioning. Using props like blocks, we’ll practice maintaining alignment to reduce strain and build confidence in balancing. The emphasis will be on both form and function, ensuring participants understand how to create a strong, sustainable foundation for their practice.

  • Cultivating spatial awareness is essential in arm balances, as it helps practitioners understand how their body moves through space. We’ll explore how to use proprioception to gain a deeper sense of balance and control. Participants will learn to refine their awareness of the body’s relationship to the floor, the air, and their center of gravity, enabling smoother transitions in and out of arm balances.

Meet your instructor

Nedal Rejoub

I'm Nedal Rejoub, a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) born and raised in Reno, NV. I spent most of my life as an athlete, both as a competitive swimmer and a tumbler/cheerleader before finding my way to yoga (and honestly, it's been life changing).

I've been practicing yoga for over 6 years now and have completely shifted my athletic focus towards strength and mobility training. I truly fell in love with the physical practice and the spiritual connection that came with stepping onto my mat each and everyday.

Having a sense of community is a HUGE part of my life as I'm incredibly passionate about helping people connect with their bodies, challenge their limits, and tap into their inner potential.

When I'm not at the studio teaching, you'll most likely find me out and about in nature , moving my body is, or geeking out on some yogic philosophy/body mechanics.
